WASHINGTON, Mich. (November 11, 2023) – Flower City Union won the 2023 National Independent Soccer Association championship here today beating Michigan Stars FC 0-1 here. Midfielder Matt Bolduc scored the title winner in the 52nd minute.

 

The club earns this title in its second year after squeezing into the playoffs as the no. 6 seed. Michigan Stars entered as the second seed and defending champion.

 

The unlikely playoff run by Flower City included a quarterfinal win in Los Angeles 2-4 against no. 3 seed Los Angeles Force and a semi-final win on penalties against top seeded Chattanooga FC 0-0 (0-2).
